Char siu bao—An Indispensable Part of Guangzhou Morning Tea

In Lingnan region, having morning tea is the best way to meet new people.

Char siu bao, also called BBQ Pork Buns, which is very popular in Cantonese morning tea, is the best food to share with old friends and also the closing ceremony of a meal. 

在粤式早茶中出场率极高的叉烧包,是酬答故交旧知的一副天然粘合剂,也是饮茶即将结束的落幕仪式。

The soft, glutinous and delicious Char siu bao is extremely rich in shape, with the pleats at the top half uncovered, slightly revealing the meat inside. 

白白胖胖的叉烧包,身形极为富态,顶处的褶子半掩半开,微微露出内里的肉馅。

Experienced guests will take the Char siu bao as the most direct example of the quality of dim sum in a teahouse.
