The birthday of Huaguang Emperor, who is honored as the patriarch of Cantonese Opera takes place on the 28th day of the ninth month on the lunar calendar.A Cantonese Opera parade was held at the Yongqing Fang to celebrate this special day. The sound of Cantonese Opera, drums, gongs and lion dances brought the ceremony to a close. 

农历九月廿八日是粤剧祖师华光师傅的诞辰，每逢这天，粤剧戏行会抬着华光师傅神像巡游，粤剧音乐锣鼓配上醒狮表演，热闹非凡。

This traditional custom has been passed down for 300 years. It gathers people who deeply love Cantonese Opera and want to help carry on the legacy of Lingnan culture.

这项传统习俗，至今已有三百年历史，广泛连结了海内外热爱粤剧人员，使广府岭南文化得到传承。
