Guo Daqiang, more than 50 years old, has a shaved head, a white beard, but a pair of bright eyes.

He is not only the third generation head of Guo’s Xiao Di (Chinese bamboo flute) production, but also the representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage projects in Guangdong Province. 

郭大强不仅是郭氏笛箫制作的第三代掌门人，同时也是广东省非物质文化遗产项目代表性传承人。

As for how to better pass on the Xiao Di culture in the new era, Guo Daqiang believes that Xiao Di is not only a musical instrument, but more importantly, it is used to cultivate one’s personality, so that the culture reflecting the spirit of the Chinese nation can be passed on to future generations.

关于在新时代怎么做好传承的问题，郭大强认为，箫笛不止是乐器，更重要的是用来修身养性、陶冶性情，要将体现文人精神和中华民族的精气神的箫笛文化传承给后代。
