There is an ancient lychee tree at Yuyan Academy of Huangpu District, Guangzhou.It is said that it has survived for more than one thousand years and is the oldest recorded ancient lychee tree in Guangzhou. 

广州黄埔区玉岩书院催诗台前有一棵古荔枝树，相传已存活逾千年，也是广州目前有记载的树龄最老的古荔枝树。

This tree has occasionally borne fruit in previous years and it has had a good harvest this year. 

往年这棵古荔偶有结果，但今年尤其多，十分罕见。

Oddly enough, this tree provided two varieties of lychees. 

奇特的是，这棵荔枝树竟长出两种品种的荔枝。
