As an old saying goes, “Worshipping the God of Fortune on the 5th day of the Chinese New Year, you will get good luck and a prosperous year.”

Como diz um velho ditado, "Adorar o Deus da Fortuna no 5º dia do Ano Novo Chinês, terá boa sorte e um ano próspero". 

俗话说：正月初五迎财神，家家户户财源滚。广府年俗中，年初五要“接财神”。

To celebrate it, some Cantonese merchants used to set off firecrackers in the early morning, others rushed to open their doors to receive this good luck. 

Para o celebrar, alguns comerciantes cantoneses costumavam acender foguetes no início da manhã, outros apressaram-se a abrir as suas portas para receber esta boa sorte. 

以前有商户在这一天凌晨放鞭炮以示迎接财神，也有一些商铺抢在这一天开业，认为有利于财源广进。
