The first section of Guangzhou metro Line 18 officially opened on September 28. With a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, the line is the fastest designed subway line under construction in China. After opening, Nansha sub-center can reach Guangzhou city center in 30 minutes. 

9月28日，广州地铁18号线首通段正式开通运营。这条时速达160公里的线路，是目前全国在建地铁设计速度最快的线路。开通后，南沙副中心至广州中心城区可以30分钟直达。
