On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, the “Stepping out of the Garden” in the Chaoshan area is a special coming-of-age ceremony devoted to teenagers who will welcome their 15th birthday in the Chinese calendar.

每年的农历七月初七，是潮汕地区15虚岁的“奴仔”（潮语：青少年）举行成人礼的重要日子。潮汕地区的成人礼又被称为“出花园”仪式。

On this day, teenagers will wear red colored, new clothes and clogs, eat a sumptuous feast and bite the head of a chicken to experience the unique customs in the Chaoshan area. 

在这一天，15岁的少年们身着红衣木屐、吃“头彩食”、咬鸡头，感受潮汕文化的独特魅力。

At present, this intangible cultural heritage combined with new creative elements in the new era, not only attracted many people’s attention at home and abroad, but has also enriched the traditional culture.

如今，这项非遗文化在传承中融入新时代元素，受到海内外华人的欢迎，进一步丰富了传统文化的推广和普及形式。
