Falling on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, the Qixi Festival, renowned as the Chinese Valentine’s day, is a romantic festival in ancient China. 

农历七月初七的七夕节是中国传统节日中最具浪漫色彩的一个，被称为“中国的情人节”。

The day, which is based on a romantic tale, is also related to young girls “praying for nimble fingers” or Qiqiao (intelligence). 

其实乞巧民俗，是通过穿针斗巧等活动祈求智慧和巧艺。

This year, various activities, such as the worship ceremony to pay tribute to the Weaver Girl and a fashion show, will take place at Zhu Village, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, which is not only just to celebrate love but to show people’s awe for the beauty of nature and to ask for wisdom and fortune.   

今年广州将在乞巧文化的发源地广州市天河区珠村举行摆七娘、拜七娘等传统活动还有传统与潮流碰撞的国潮华服秀，不仅仅是爱的宣发还是人们崇敬自然、寻求智慧和财富的象征。
