The Chinese pangolin is a national first-class protected animal, which is endemic to China. And its staple food is termites and ants. It has dark hard scales on its head and body surface. 

中华穿山甲是国家一级保护动物，为中国特有穿山甲，主食白蚁和蚂蚁，头部和体表均长有深色坚硬鳞片。

Pangolins have low fecundity, generally giving birth to only one litter per year and only one cub per litter. 

穿山甲繁殖力低下，一般每年仅产1胎，每胎仅产1崽。

Fortunately, the Chinese pangolin has recently been found in Dongguan, Heyuan, Jiangmen and other places in Guangdong province. 

幸运的是，近来广东东莞、河源、江门等多地惊喜发现中华穿山甲的踪迹。

This is closely related to the growing ecological environment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the growing awareness of wildlife protection.

这与粤港澳大湾区生态环境越来越好，野生动物保护意识增强息息相关，生物多样性也越来越丰富。
