Daqiao stone carp in paddy fields and eats rice flowers, so it is also known as “Hehua Fish”. 

韶关乳源县的大桥石鲤生长在水田中，吃稻花长大，因此也被称为“禾花鱼”。

While its bright color and short round body make it difficult to jump and escape, it is suitable for rice farming. 

色泽鲜亮，体型短圆，不易跳跃和逃逸，非常适合稻田养殖，且历史悠久。

In addition, its meat is tender and smooth and doesn’t have an earthy smell. The local people like to cook it together with sour ginger and tofu with local characteristics, which also makes it the first geographical symbol of agricultural products in the rice-fishery comprehensive planting and breeding industry in Guangdong Province.

它肉质细嫩，口感爽滑，无土腥味，味道鲜甜，当地喜欢配以地方风味的酸姜、豆腐、芋禾等一起烹制。“大桥石鲤”也成为广东省稻渔综合种养产业首个地理标志农产品。
